We are specialists in constructing outdoor play equipment Need a climbing frame, activity tower, rock wall or slide? We at RSJ Play will specifically design our outdoor play equipment to cater for all abilities and ages of children, whether your equipment requires wheelchair access, lower level or simpler sections, we will tailor make all of our equipment so that play time is equal for every child. All of the equipment that we design, build and manufacture is to British standard BS 1176 specifications and adheres to all RoSPA play equipment guidelines.

Our custom-built parents waiting shelters will keep you dry. We at RSJ Play feel that the parents as well as the children should be looked after so we have designed and manufactured parents waiting shelters. These are suitable areas to pick up their children, avoiding our varied weather conditions that we all know too well. Our shelters can be designed to fit into many environments. They come in all shapes and sizes, whether they are free standing or fixed. We also install seating in the majority of cases so that you can relax whilst waiting for the children.

For safety and peace of mind, use metal fencing and gates to keep children out of harms way. RSJ Play have been supplying and fitting metal fencing and gates for many years. All of our gates and fencing comply to British standards meaning that we take the utmost care in your protection. Due to working on a lot of schools, we now specialise in soft closing gates that are all manufactured and installed to RoSPA guidelines to ensure children are protected from any nasty accidents i.e. trapped fingers. We also supply and install safety coded gates to make absolutely sure that items are kept safe from theft or that electrical areas can be cordened off to ensure that children can't go where they shouldn't. All of our metal gates are galvanised and can be powder coated to any required colour. All bow top fencing comes in either hollow tube or solid bar styles and are made to measure.

Here are some examples of our timber fencing and gates. Safety Timber Fencing Safety is the most important factor in play, a vital part of this is fencing. This contains areas, ensuring they are dog-proof and keeps children in a safe environment and away from harm. All our timber fencing and gates featured within this section are all manufactured and installed in accordance with BS EN 1176 and RoSPA guidelines. Over the years RSJ Play Ltd have constructed and fitted many timber fences and gates. We have installed fencing at various locations such as schools, nurseries, council parks and domestics properties. No project is too big or small!

We specialise in installing safety surfacing. Wetpour Safety Surfacing At RSJ Play we know that safety is paramount and one way we can help ensure this is through the installation of wetpour rubber safety surfacing and rubber mulch. These durable, porous products provide year-round protection from injury during the inevitable trips and falls young children experience when playing. These surfaces can include a range of designs and graphics in which will brighten up any space and create a fun and safe environment for children of all ages. Our wet-pour safety surfacing comes with a 5-year guarantee. Safety surfaces are designed to cushion the impact of a fall thus reducing injuries. Where play equipment over 600mm in height is installed there is a need for safety surfacing to comply with BS 1176, BS 1177 and RoSPA guidelines, but many of our customers have also had it installed to alleviate uneven surfaces (trip hazards) or purely for the look and safety element to protect the children. We specialise in: Turfing Wet Pour Play Grade Bark and Chippings Bonded Rubber Mulch All our equipment is installed with some kind of safety surfacing and are all compliant to the relevant critical fall heights (depth of surfacing) required. Whether wanting a seating area in your playground or stages for the children to perform we produce timber decking areas that are made to measure, every inch designed by you and installed by us. Timber decking can be used in a number of ways - as part of garden landscaping, to extend living areas of homes, and as an alternative to stone based features such as patios. On these projects we use mostly Scandinavian slow grown 5ths Kiln Dried Redwood, which is heart free, hence significantly reducing the risk of shaking (splitting and poor finish quality following machining).  The timbers are then pressure treated with Tanalith (E), a chrome and arsenic free timber preservative which is the latest in timber treatment technology, providing an extended service life.

Early Years Play Equipment Our Early Years play equipment has been designed not just so their customers can buy off the shelf finished products, but also as a platform for other designs that you may wish to create or introduce into your range. They are made from durable and non-fading HDPE ensuring years of maintenance free use. The imaginative play range of products are supplied with all the fittings for assembly and can be supplied ready assembled if required. The designs are suitable freestanding, however surface and ground fixing is easy with ground anchor kits (at extra cost). Resin Bound Gravel Resin bound gravel is a great alternative to traditional surfacing such as tarmacadam.  Not only is it visually striking and available in a range of colours and designs but it is also extremely hard-wearing.  We would recommend it for pathways, car parks and driveways.
